Micro taps are mainly used in clocks and watches for machining holes in wood and soft metals with low hardness.
  • Straight Flute Tap: Straight flute design, clear threads without burrs, right hand tapping direction. Provides rapid downward chip removal to achieve efficient thread cutting, suitable for processing through holes or shallow holes.
  • Wide Applications: Thread taps create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality threads and more durable taps.
  • 6542 High Speed Steel Tap: Offer high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance. Uncoated taps feature just the base substrate without any additional coatings, great for a wide range of applications.
  • Tips: Machine taps are used with tapping, drilling, automatic or milling machines. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping.
