Your outdoor railing 1” posts can be hollow or solid to use this post Repair mount. What’s included is a base with flange tube with set screw(s) and 4 anchor bolts. Size reminder to measure your square post’s outer dimension- 1” x 1” to ensure compatibility with the flange tubes Inner dimension of 1 1/8” x 1 1/8”. These do not fit a 1 ¼” post inside and a 1 ½” post will not fit over this post mount. Made only for a 1” x 1” outer dimension existing handrail post. This allows it to pocket inside the repair mount.

- EASY INSTALLATION: No welding required! These brackets fit over existing 1" x 1” outer dimension of a square rail posts for a quick repair. Works on your 1" x 1” outer dimension square legs-posts-banisters. Used with either Hollow or Solid square posts. Cut off the bad part, fill with a strong bonding agent, tighten set screws, bolt the metal plate down with the provided bolts and done! Recommend a 5/16” concrete bit for drilling holes
- MOUNTING: Base plate is 3" x 3" with (4) 3/8" holes and is designed for easy Hassle-free installation, providing a secure stable post mount for your outdoor railings, handrails, deck, fence and guardrails. Base plates also cover up existing holes in the concrete. 4-Anchor bolts provided 5/16” x 1 ½”

- REMINDER: These repair mounts accept a 1” x 1” outer dimension post. Inside them. You can use either Hollow square tube metal posts or solid square steel posts. Both work! They will not fit a 1 ¼” post inside them. They will not fit a 1 ½” post inside them and a 1 ½” post will not fit over this mount. Use of these railing repair brackets require the rail to be out of the concrete to be installed properly.
- WHAT SIZE TO ORDER: The best thing to do is measure the post leg right below the bottom horizontal bar of the railing to the cement. Normally anywhere from 3” – 8” depending on the post placement on the steps. Trim off the bad part but you will need at least a 2”-3” stub to insert into the post railing mounts. This will allow the set screw to grab the existing 1” post once inserted inside and secure the new handrail bracket.
